The unique Mozart Dinner Concert offers a taste of life in Mozart's Salzburg, with its colourful costumes and culinary delights.
Enjoy the most popular compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by candlelight in the famous Baroque Salon of the Stiftskeller St. Peter. Music is performed by Salzburg artists in historical costumes, and the dinner menu is prepared as it was in the time of Mozart. The musical programme is performed by the "Amadeus Consort Salzburg", two singers and five instrumentalists who specialise in the works of Mozart, Salzburg's "local genius". The three-part concert programme includes popular compositions from The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
The Mozart Dinner is prepared according to traditional 17th and 18th century recipes and is served during the pauses in the concert.
Menu:
- White lemon cream soup with cinnamon
- Breast of roasted Capon on truffled cream with sage, polenta, 'pear potatoes', and vegetables from the Prior's garden
- Mozart's sweet secret: semi-frozen parfait of honey with fruit puree.
